What do you mean when you say that the woman is the keystone of the family?

Opus Dei provides spiritual formation aimed at helping people develop their spiritual life and apostolate. These activities are held in Opus Dei centers or in a church, office or private home.

The Big Picture Seminar has been running for a few years in several Canadian cities including Vancouver, London, Toronto, Kingston, Montreal and Quebec City. It is designed to help young men develop a strong vision of their future as they enter high school. The BC Catholic (November 28, 2005) dealt with the impact of the program in the Vancouver area.

At the start of 2006, Bishop Javier Echevarría wrote a letter to the faithful of Opus Dei and its cooperators. We include here the paragraphs that stress the need to strengthen the institution of the family.

This past summer, university and college students in Ottawa got to experience first hand what it means to put one’s know-how at the service of those in need. Inspired by the teachings of Saint Josemaria through the activities at Valrideau University Residence in Ottawa, they agreed to help set up and run a day camps for girls: The Academic Enrichment and Sports Ottawa Program (AESOP).
