Saint Josemaría was a man with many good friends. He always valued friendship as one of the great treasures of life, and he left this message as a legacy to the faithful of the Work. Pablo Pérez, Professor of Contemporary History at the University of Navarra, spoke of St Josemaría's lasting and deep friendship with Francisco Moreno and Enrique Giménez Arnau, two friends he met in his youth in Zaragoza. This is an English adaptation of that account.

Thinking about several sick relatives and friends, I decided to begin a series of novenas asking for their health. The first novena was for the mother of a friend of mine.

My situation at work was not easy. On one occasion, I needed a raise; on another, I needed to change location in order to continue with my studies.

As a token of gratitude, I would like to briefly relate some of the favours that have been granted to me through the intercession of Blessed Alvaro del Portillo in recent years.

In his 20 October general audience, Pope Francis continued his catechesis on Saint Paul's Letter to the Galatians, speaking about the freedom of Christians.

Last night God put in my heart an urgency to write this letter and that is why I got up early today, and here I am writing it. It all started with my son: he had acute asthma and was not responding to any treatment.

For many years, Blessed Alvaro was in charge of carrying out financial matters that Saint Josemaría entrusted to him. For this reason, people from all over the world turn to his intercession in similar situations. We publish some favours narrated in the first person.

Blessed Alvaro del Portillo has brought us more than one joy, one after another. Thank you, Don Alvaro!
