Letter from the Prelate (11 April 2021)
The Prelate of Opus Dei invites us to live the season of Easter with the joy of knowing that Christ has risen, while recalling all the other reasons for joy that God has given us.
"He waits for us every day, in the laboratory, in the operating theatre, in the army barracks, in the university chair, in the factory, in the workshop, in the fields, in the home and in all the immense panorama of work.”(Saint Josemaría)
The Prelate of Opus Dei invites us to live the season of Easter with the joy of knowing that Christ has risen, while recalling all the other reasons for joy that God has given us.
At the beginning of the Year of the Family and on the solemnity of Saint Joseph, Monsignor Fernando Ocáriz invites us to put special care into looking after our own home and to do all we can to assist other families and people in need.
On the solemnity of Christ the King, Monsignor Ocáriz invites us to reflect on some words of Saint Josemaria in order to let Christ reign more fully in us.
Monsignor Fernando Ocáriz offers some reflections on the spirit of Opus Dei and how it is lived in accord with each person's circumstances.
Monsignor Ocáriz assures us that he is praying for us and close to us during the pandemic, and says that he will soon send a longer letter.
This 15th of September will mark 45 years since the election of Blessed Alvaro as Saint Josemaria’s first successor. Monsignor Ocáriz encourages us to see him as an example of fidelity to the spirit of Opus Dei.
Faith helps us to discover the good present in every situation, also when they are painful. As Monsignor Ocáriz reminds us, with words of Saint Paul, "in everything God works for good with those who love him.”
Faced with the experience of our own vulnerability, Monsignor Ocáriz reminds us that Christ chose his disciples knowing very well their weaknesses and past mistakes, but also knowing that they would have the strength of the Holy Spirit to assist them.
On the feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Monsignor Ocáriz invites us to ask our Lord for a heart like His, so that we can bring peace to those around us.
As the lockdown begins to be lifted in many places, Monsignor Fernando Ocáriz encourages us to show others the attractiveness of being Christ's disciple with our own lives.
With the month of May about to begin, Monsignor Fernando Ocáriz invites us to unite ourselves to the Pope's intentions through recourse to the intercession of our Lady.
In preparation for the upcoming solemnity of Saint Joseph, Monsignor Ocáriz suggests that we have recourse to his intercession as “God’s faithful servant in continual contact with Jesus.”
