Once you discover how simple it is to lead a life of fullness, you won’t want to go back. The "training plan" Opus Dei offers young people consists of a plan of life — devotions and prayer that you carry out personally, with God — and the traditional means of formation, which you generally carry out with others. You can read more about the means of formation for young people here.

It's like a spiritual workout plan for growing in happiness with God, and you do all of it with Him. Christian tradition has encouraged believers to adopt a plan of life from the earliest days. In the stories below, you'll find descriptions of each element of the plan of life that Opus Dei recommends to young people and tips for incorporating them into your life.

It might helpful to think of the elements of the plan of life as falling into three categories:

  • The four core elements: Holy Mass & Communion, the Sacrament of Reconciliation (or "Confession"), the Rosary, and mental prayer
  • Specifically to strengthen ties with Christ: Visit to the Blessed Sacrament, New Testament & spiritual reading, and contemplation of the mysteries of the Rosary
  • Habit-forming: morning offering, Angelus or Regina Coeli, examination of conscience, and 3 Hail Marys for holy purity

The key is that all these elements help us seek, find, and love God, and we do everything with Him.
