Pope Francis invokes the help of Saint Joseph, who just as he watched over Jesus and Mary, watches over and protects Christ's Mystical Body, the Church.

Continuing the catechesis for the Year of Faith, in his April 3 address Pope Francis stresses the reality of Christ's Resurrection, and speaks about the important role of women in the Church.

The complete text of Pope Francis' homily at the Easter Vigil Mass in St. Peter's: the Risen Jesus "will give you the peace you are looking for and the strength to live as he would have you do."

The Prelate reflects on the Resurrrection, and asks us to "continue making an effort to bring the charity of Christ, spiritual and material concern for others, to the environment in which each of us works."

In this programe twelve young people talk about how they approach different aspects of Christian faith. The 27-minute documentary includes previously unpublished images of St Josemaria, and testimonies by young people from Paris, London, Barcelona, Rome, Chicago, New York and Buenos Aires. A copy was presented to Pope Francis by participants in UNIV 2013, during his first public audience. The documentary is produced by ISCOM and directed by Juan Martin Ezratty (Digito Identidad).

The Holy Father had warm words of greeting for the UNIV students at the March 27 General Audience, and cited words of Saint Josemaria Escriva.

For the 2013 UNIV Forum, 3,000 university students from all over the world are in Rome this week to see Pope Francis and discuss the topic “Discovering human identity in the digital world.” With photo gallery.

The Founder of Opus Dei saw in St. Joseph the strong and affectionate father that Christ wanted on earth. He asked St. Joseph to teach him how to stay close to Mary and to Jesus: “How he would have embraced the Child, and kissed him!”

“The faith of a son, which is faith in the Son, was manifested in the faith of a father, the faith that characterized St Josemaria’s life.
