Alfred Robert Cruz Vergara, who worked as an architect in the Philippines for several years, will be ordained on May 5, 2018.

Next Saturday, May 5th, 31 faithful of the Prelature of Opus Dei will receive priestly ordination in Rome. The ceremony will begin at 10 am (Rome time), and will be streamed live on this web page and via Facebook and Youtube.

Dante (Philippines), Joe (U.S.), Anibal (Colombia), Giovanni (Italy), Alex (Spain) and Ricardo (Peru) are among the 31 deacons who will be ordained priests on Saturday April 29.

The priestly ordination of 31 faithful of Opus Dei is just one month away. The celebrant will be Cardinal Giuseppe Bertello, president of the Governorate of the Vatican City State.

Priests in the Priestly Society of the Holy Cross in Ivory Coast have organized workshops for seminarians from all over the country.

On February 25 in Rome, two faithul of the Prelature were ordained to the diaconate in the parish of Saint Josemaria. They were ordained by Bishop Juan Ignacio Arrieta, secretary of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts. They will be ordained priests in 6 months time.

On 14 February 1943, Saint Josemaria found the solution he was seeking for priests to form part of Opus Dei.
