Sometimes, it is our own life that seems to be blocked, twisted, as a result of our making wrong decisions or we take a wrong step. Who would not like to have the possibility of starting from scratch? That possibility exists thanks to RESET,
Pope Francis’ messages during the Year of Mercy and the references he made about to Reconciliation in this year’s Lenten Message encouraged the Opus Dei Information Office to launch the RESET project, which is a series of testimonies which show how good It is turning to the sacrament of Forgiveness, and thus be certain that God forgives us and encourages us to start again.
RESET includes the testimonies of 17 people who talk about their lives, their wounds, their falls and the times they picked themselves up, about how human it is to make mistakes and the need we all have to be forgiven. The Project also includes an explanation of the sacrament of confession, an examination of conscience and the Confessor-Go application to locate a confessor anytime, anywhere.
The title RESET means returning to the system’s original configuration, also called factory settings. ‘If after performing various tasks we want to return to the initial state, we can press the RESET key to reboot the operating system,’ says Maria Villarino, one of the producers of RESET.
The volunteers who have participated in the project explain in the videos that Confession ‘has given me back my smile’, ‘it has changed my life’, ‘God forgives you, just like that’, ‘that first confession didn't cost me anything, and I felt a tremendous peace, an enormous joy, as if I had taken off fifty kilos.’
