On 18 May 2019, Guadalupe Ortiz was beatified in a ceremony in Madrid. An Apostolic Brief, in Latin, was issued that day. The original text, signed by the Holy Father, Pope Francis, was delivered in November 2021. The contributions for a beatification and canonization cause help to cover the costs involved in making the Servant of God, Blessed or Saint more widely known, the diocesan investigation, the Roman phase and, finally, the ceremony of beatification and canonization, in accordance with the norms approved by Pope Francis on 7 March 2016.
