The Father in Uruguay: "Holiness consists in the fullness of love, not in having no faults"
From 22 to 27 August 2026, Msgr. Fernando Ocáriz was in Uruguay, just a few months before the 70th anniversary of the arrival of the first members of Opus Dei in the country. He met with families, young people, and individuals from a range of educational and social initiatives. The chronicle, photographs, and videos capture some moments from those days.
Three Days with the Father in Honduras: Highlights
Video of Msgr. Fernando Ocáriz’s visit to Honduras from 10 to 12 August. In San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa, whilst meeting with families, young people and the community at the Taular Institute of Technology, he emphasised the great value of everyday life because of the love that goes into it.

He spent six days in Guatemala, from 4 to 9 August. One theme came up in nearly every gathering: that happiness requires a heart in love, not necessarily an easy life. Having met with priests, young people, university students, and families in Guatemala, Msgr. Ocáriz now continues his pastoral trip on to Honduras and El Salvador.

Gathering with the Prelate: “We are all on the front line”
Msgr. Fernando Ocáriz spent close to a month in Pamplona. Before returning to Rome, he took part in a gathering attended by thousands of people, mostly families connected with Opus Dei’s apostolic activities in Navarre, the Basque Country, La Rioja, and Soria. It was held last Thursday, 23 July, at the University of Navarre’s sports center.
