“There is no love without suffering—without the suffering of renouncing oneself." The Prelate makes use of these words of Benedict XVI to speak at length about Christ's Cross.

This month's letter focuses on the feast of our Lady’s Assumption, urging us to contemplate "the beauty of our Mother, taken up by God body and soul to the glory of Heaven."

“Love the Holy Father a lot. Pray a lot for the Pope. Love him very much, very much!" The Prelate cites these words of St. Josemaria in urging us to pray in a special way for the Pope's intentions.

The Prelate's letter focuses on the month's many important feasts: "Let us draw close to Him filled with trust especially on the feast of the Sacred Heart, on June 15th, placing ourselves in that Heart opened by a lance on the Cross."

"The month of May speaks to us above all of our Lady’s continual presence on the path of the Church and of every Catholic," the Prelate tells us in his letter this month.

In the context of Holy Week, the hundredth anniversary of St. Josemaría's First Holy Communion, on April 23, leads the Prelate to reflect on the meaning of the Eucharist.

This month's letter focuses on "one of the traditional spiritual works of mercy that St. Josemaría taught us to value and that the Holy Father highlights: the practice of fraternal correction."

"Charity and humility are closely united; and their mature fruit is unity." The Prelate focuses on the topic of unity in his letter this month.

The Prelate asks us to give thanks to God for all the gifts we have received during the past year, including "the spiritual fruit of work offered to God and carried out with a spirit of service to souls."

Citing words of Benedict XVI, the Prelate urges us to prepare very well for Christmas, when, with the incarnation and birth of the Word, “the infinite distance between God and man is overcome."
