​Scepter Publishers has recently published "Dora del Hoyo, A Lighted Lamp", an English translation of a biography of Dora (original title: "Dora del Hoyo, Una Luz Encendida") The book, written by Javier Medina Bayo, tells the story of Dora's life, based on the testimony of her family and those who lived with her.

March 23 is the anniversary of Blessed Alvaro del Portillo's death. A new eBook offers an overview of his beatification, with 170 photographs, the message sent by Pope Francis and other relevant texts.

In a get-together with thousands of people in Barcelona in 1989, Blessed Alvaro spoke about the spiritual fruit Holy Communion brings.

"Striving to turn work into prayer, and offering it to God, this is the secret of Opus Dei," Blessed Alvaro del Portillo said in a get-together in Paris in 1988.

On March 14th, 1946, Dora del Hoyo became the first to join Opus Dei as an assistant numerary. She has inspired thousands of women all over the world to dedicate themselves to spreading the universal call to holiness through their professional work of caring for the home.

January 18-25 is the octave for praying for Christian unity. In 1983, in Switzerland, Blessed Alvaro spoke about respecting the faith of others.

Thanks to Dora's intercession, we were able to sell some land and a house which had been for sale for many years without being sold.
