Alvaro del Portillo was born on March 11, 1914. For the centennial of his birth, the Catholic Truth Society in London has published a brief biography by Helena Scott and Ethel Tolansky entitled "The Power of Humility."

Our Lord, who called the apostles -Bishop Alvaro explains-, calls all Christians to follow Him more closely.

"The only real regret lies in not being a saint . . . we could also say that there is only one real kind of poverty: not living as children of God and brothers and sisters of Christ."

Fr. Joseph (José Luis Múzquiz de Miguel) was born in 1912 in Badajoz, Spain. He helped St. Josemaria spread Opus Dei to many countries, especially the United States.
