Biography of the Prelate
Monsignor Fernando Ocáriz was born in Paris on October 27, 1944, in a Spanish family exiled in France due to the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). He was elected and confirmed by Pope Francis as Prelate of Opus Dei on January 23, 2017.
