On Saturday May 26, at 10 am, the Holy Father received Monsignor Fernando Ocáriz, Prelate of Opus Dei, in an audience.

For May 2018, the Holy Father Pope Francis requests us to pray that the lay faithful may fulfil their specific mission, by responding with creativity to the challenges that face the world today.

"Baptism gives us strength for our daily struggle, even the struggle against the devil who like a lion tries to devour us," Pope Francis said in his April 25 general audience.

"After praying for the poor, the children made 200 sandwiches twice, with care and generosity." An outreach towards the poor, inspired by "Laudato Si."

Pope Francis has written at length about the universal call to holiness in the Church: "to that perfect holiness by which the Father himself is perfect.”
