Africa is full of contrasts that are an essential part of its identity. On the rich African continent, the Church strives to work for unity in diversity, respecting ethnic and linguistic divisions. “The ethnic, linguistic, and tribal divisions in Africa can be overcome promoting unity in diversity. I want to thank the religious sisters, priests, laity, and missionaries for their work to create dialogue and reconciliation among the various sectors of African society. Let us pray this month that the Church in Africa, through the commitment of its members, may be the seed of unity among her peoples and a sign of hope for this continent.”
Let us pray that people, who are involved in the service and transmission of faith, may find, in their dialogue with culture, a language suited to the conditions of the present time, in their dialogue with people´s hearts, and above all, by listening much.
The Devil is a seducer. This is why, without our knowing it, we let him enter into our lives. This also applies to the life of the Church. This is why the Pope is asking us this month of October to pray the Rosary of the Virgin Mary and the prayer to St. Michael the Archangel to fight against the power of evil and to protect the Church. Will we all join in with this request?
