In a recent letter titled “Life in Abundance,” the Holy Father presents sport as a “school of life” in which we “learn that abundance does not come from victory at any cost, but from sharing, from respecting others and from the joy of walking together.”

Pope Leo invites us to pray that children suffering from incurable diseases and their families receive the necessary medical care and support, never losing strength and hope.

The Holy Father invites us to look at Lent as a season of listening and fasting in community. “Lent is a time in which the Church, guided by a sense of maternal care, invites us to place the mystery of God back in the center of our lives, in order to find renewal in our faith and keep our hearts from being consumed by the anxieties and distractions of daily life.”
