Opus Dei

In 2017, 860 adults were baptized in Austria, many of them refugees. This is the story of Dieter and some of his friends who are preparing for baptism this year, in Salzburg.

The World Meeting of Families Congress is a gathering of the Catholic Church that has occurred every three years since St. John Paul II started them in 1994. It is organized by the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life, which "promotes the pastoral care of families, protects their rights and dignity in the Church and in civil society, so that they may ever be more able to fulfill their duties."

​Early last year my wife and a group of women were involved in the preparation of the celebration of Mass in honour of St. Josemaria in Kisii at St. Charles Lwanga Cathedral. She was tasked with the preparation of altar flowers. She bought the flowers in Nairobi and travelled with them to Kisii.

On March 3rd, three faithful of Opus Dei will be ordained transitional deacons by Bishop Klaus Küng of the diocese of St. Pölten (Austria). The ceremony will take place at Saint Josemaria Parish in Rome at 10:30 am.
