A recollection is a “mini-retreat,” a few hours of quiet prayer when we look at our lives in God's presence. As we continue to face a global pandemic, this "recollection-at-home" can help us spend an hour or two in loving conversation with God, right where we are.

Don't say God is silent when your Bible is closed. The Compendium of the Catechism (no 558) tells us there are four ways through which God speaks to us: "the Word of God;" "the Liturgy of the Church;” “the theological virtues;" and the "everyday situations".

"If we let ourselves be led by God’s Love, if we stay attentive to his inspirations and take notice of his small suggestions, the apostolate will become a 'way of life' that configures our own identity."

Contemplative prayer develops in us a new way of looking at everything that happens around us, sharing in God’s vision of the world.
