In this video message, the Prelate of Opus Dei, Msgr. Fernando Ocáriz, reminds us that thanksgiving must lead us to respond "with renewed fidelity" and the joy of knowing that God is always with us.
Beyond the festive celebrations, the Father recommends entering into the preparation for the centenary above all with an interior celebration: "It is not a new beginning, but a new impulse toward fidelity."
This year's guiding theme will be "being contemplatives in the middle of the world": discovering God in work, family life, and rest, as well as in the difficulties of daily life, and, with God's grace, beginning again and again.
Msgr. Ocáriz also announces that on October 16 he will publish a letter devoted to contemplation, meant to help us discover that being contemplative in ordinary life is not an unreachable ideal, but a path open to everyone, with God's help.
