Stress Alvaro

In 2016, around June/July, during the meeting after the priest’s class they agreed to go to the intercession of Don Alvaro. They called this initiative “Stress Alvaro”. They decided to say a prayer card to Don Alvaro every day at 8.00 a.m. followed by a Memorare.

Every Wednesday at 5.45 p.m. the priest gives a class to women who want to improve in their knowledge of the Catholic Doctrine and Morals in Teemba Study Centre, Kampala. It has been going on since the Work came to Uganda. Ordinarily after this class, those who are able meet either for another class on self-improvement, or to share a birthday celebration. Some of these women are married but have no children and others are still looking for a good person to marry. In 2016, around June/July, during the meeting after the priest’s class they agreed to go to the intercession of Don Alvaro. They called this initiative “Stress Alvaro”. They decided to say a prayer card to Don Alvaro every day at 8.00 a.m. followed by a Memorare.

On 10 August 2017, one of the ladies sent a message to all the group members asking them to give thanks with her because “Stress Alvaro” had worked for her. She had given birth to a beautiful baby. We then decided to have a get-together during which people who have received favours from Don Alvaro could tell the others about it in order to encourage them to go to Don Alvaro. Thirteen people told their stories; apart from other favours 5 people got married (“Stress Alvaro” Brides as they like to refer to themselves) and 8 women got babies. By December 2017, there was thanksgiving for 17 babies, 5 weddings, 7 new jobs, 2 promotions and 1 engagement.

Every morning one person in the group sends a reminder “Stress Alvaro”. The rest are very grateful for this.
