In a get-together filmed in Bogota, Colombia in 1983, Bishop Alvaro del Portillo insisted that we Christians have to be always young, with a youthfulness that will last forever.

"Taste in your heart the need our world has to receive the graces of the Cross," Bishop Alvaro del Portillo tells us in a letter from September 1988.

Andrew Gicharu, is planning to attend the beatification of don Alvaro del Portillo from Nairobi. He has a disability which he suffered after an accident while playing rugby.

A quick glance at the life of Alvaro del Portillo, the successor to Opus Dei's founder St. Josemaria Escriva. Bishop del Portillo will be beatified in Madrid on Sept. 27.
