In his June 21 general audience, Pope Francis spoke about the important role of the saints in the Church, and the need for "saints in everyday life."
St. Josemaria in Dar es Salaam
For more than 10 years now, members of Opus Dei have been making regular trips to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania to give means of formation to interested university students and professionals, young and old, men and women. On Saturday 10th June 2017, a public Mass in honour of St. Josemaria was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Gerald Wabukenda at St. Peter's Oyster Bay Church.

Novena for the sick
"Children. The Sick. — As you write these words, don't you feel tempted to use capitals? The reason is that in children and in the sick a soul in love sees Him." The Novena for the Sick, with many quotes from St. Josemaria's writings, encourages accepting suffering with a Christian spirit, uniting it to Christ's passion and death, and asks God for a cure if such be his will.

In June 1974 Saint Josemaria had a get-together with a large number of people in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He reminded them that we are all called to holiness.
