I try to be consistent. I know I don’t always manage it, but that’s what I aspire to in life.
I’m a Supply Chain Director for a supermarket. The pandemic changed everything. Since then, I’ve mostly been working remotely. It’s very easy to miss out on people’s daily lives. We used to share work, personal problems, and laugh together. Screens are very cold. I make myself call my colleagues, not solve everything via WhatsApp. The risk is that we each close ourselves off and lose the chance to help others… and to be helped.
We want our children to learn respect and hospitality.
What I’ve learned from working has helped me raise my children. That doing a good job takes effort… That someone who wants to help you grow won’t do everything for you… That they should be honest, self-sufficient, and responsible…
We want our children to be open to all realities, in every sphere, to learn respect and hospitality. As children, they may not be aware of the social differences that exist. They need to know that not everyone has the same opportunities and they need to learn to share.
To the extent that you give of yourself, you are happy. Right now, for me, the way to be happy is to give what I have.
