In 1931, Saint Josemaria wrote down what had happened on the morning of October 2nd, 1928, feast of the Holy Guardian Angels, when he first "saw" Opus Dei.

On 2 October, Pope Francis opened the second part of the Synod on Synodality and asked Christians to observe a day of prayer and fasting for peace on 7 October.
