The founder of Opus Dei has had a lot to do with my way of addressing problems at work. One good example occurred when my business needed rationalization to become globally competitive. The plan drawn up envisaged early retirement for some and redundancy for others.

Faced with this challenge, I prayed and took inspiration from the fact that the life of St. Josemaría was based fundamentally on love for Jesus Christ and for people. It seemed to me that this approach was most applicable in managing a business.

It led us to modify the company reorganization in a way which helped those who were leaving to set up their own businesses and so have income to support their families.
