A voice in my head kept repeating ”in the drawer!”

A favor attributed to the intercession of Venerable Isidoro Zorzano (13 September 1902 - 15 July 1943)

Read a short biography of Isidoro here

I was received into the Catholic Church on the day of my 75th birthday. I had been baptised into the Church of Scotland but never practised my faith. Through my Catholic wife I learnt about Opus Dei which led to my conversion. I also learnt about the communion of saints and how God can grant favours through the holy people who have gone before us. One of these holy people I was told is Isidoro Zorzano, and I want to give testimony of a favour he obtained for me.

Early one morning I was going for a hospital appointment, but I could not find my car keys.. I searched high and low but to no avail. I was getting into a panic when my wife suggested that I ask Isidoro for help. As I did not believe in this kind of thing, I hesitated. But then I started to ask him for help to find my car keys.

Suddenly a voice in my head said ”in the drawer!” I ignored that because I knew there was a key there – an ‘intelligent key’ – but its batteries had run out, and when I had last tried to replace them I took too long in doing so (more than six seconds) that the key automatically deprogrammed itself. Since it costs £150 to reprogramme, I just threw it into the drawer. I did try it a couple of times after that, about a week before this, but it still did not work. But this voice in my head kept repeating “in the drawer!”

In desperation I opened the drawer, took the faulty key and tried it again. This time to my astonishment it worked perfectly. I could not believe it! I swear on my own life that this key definitely did not work previous to this.

I can only thank Isidoro for his help in solving this problem.

Some 3 days later I found, between my bedsheets at the bottom of my bed, my original working keys that I had lost!
