Opus Dei

To commemorate the hundredth anniversary of Saint Josemaría Escrivá’s ordination to the priesthood, the city of Zaragoza hosted a series of events from 27 to 30 March. These included academic gatherings, liturgical celebrations, and festive family meetings. Similar events took place in Rome and Logroño, locations that played a significant role in the founder of Opus Dei’s life and childhood.

The Josemaría Escrivá Study Center (Centro de Estudios Josemaría Escrivá) has launched a new website featuring interactive tools, including timelines and maps, and articles by historians. Published on the eve of the centenary of the priestly ordination of the founder of Opus Dei, the site offers previously unpublished content on this milestone.

28 March 2025 marks the hundredth anniversary of St. Josemaría’s ordination to the priesthood. Liturgical and academic events have been organized in Zaragoza, Perdiguera, and Rome. We also share a commemorative card, available to download in several languages.

The Catholic prayer app Hallow launches its Lent challenge on Wednesday. This year, it is inspired by the founder of Opus Dei's “The Way.” The global challenge will be guided by well-known figures from around the world.

This week The Merry Beggars (Relevant Radio) is releasing a 5-part audio drama series on the life of Saint Josemaria.

The new channel of St. Josemaria on YouTube features short videos and summaries of his gatherings with families, friends, and members of Opus Dei.

A multimedia site with a variety of audiovisual and infographic resources that show how the charism of Opus Dei has been brought to life in different cultures, for the 50th anniversary of St. Josemaria's trip to several Latin American countries from May 1974 to February 1975.
