The following is background on the safe environment policies for the Delegation of Central United States.

Effective March 23, 2022, the Prelature's activities with minors in the Delegation of the Midwest received accreditation from Praesidium, Inc., a leading organization specializing in safe-environment and abuse prevention. The accreditation was only for the Midwest delegation.

Subsequently, on Aug. 15, 2022, the Prelate merged two circumscriptions of the Prelature in the United States – the Delegations of the Midwest and Texas – to form a new circumscription, the Delegation of Central United States.

The new Delegation assumes all the legal obligations of the former two delegations. Accordingly, the Delegation of Central United States has begun the process of implementing in Texas the safe environment policies that are already in place for the centers of the Midwest.
