This 26 April is the 10th anniversary of Montse Grases being declared “venerable.” The anniversary is a chance to draw closer to her and ask for her intercession with a new prayer card, available in various formats.

Montse Grases was born in Barcelona on 10 July 1941. She died young, just shy of eighteen, with dreams still unfulfilled and much of life still ahead of her. Yet she died happy, having lived a life rich in God's presence. In 2016, Pope Francis declared her venerable.

Raymond, a physics major and avid chess player, discovered an inspiration for his life of faith in the story of Montse Grases. He designed youthful prayer cards to spread devotion to her. She was declared Venerable in 2016 by Pope Francis.

Montse Grases was born on 10 July 1941 and died on Holy Thursday, 29 March 1959. Montse’s life was similar to that of any other girl her age, and at the same time it was filled with God. She found Jesus amid her normal everyday activities and gave herself generously to Him.

Many people with devotion to Venerable Montse Grases celebrated the 80th anniversary of her birth in a special way to thank her for the favors received through her intercession.

On July 10, which would have been her 80th birthday, EWTN will air a show on Montse's life which will include remarks by the Prelate of Opus Dei and Monsignor José Gutiérrez Gómez, Vice Postulator for Montse’s cause of beatification.

On Thursday, 5 July 2018, Pope Francis authorized several decrees on heroic virtues, including those relating to two teenagers: the Anglo-Italian Carlo Acutis and the Spaniard Alexia González-Barros, who died respectively at 15 and 14 years of age.
