What is the Priestly Society of the Holy Cross?
Priests from all over the world speak about the Priestly Society of the Holy Cross, an association of clergy intrinsically united to the Prelature of Opus Dei. Its aim is to promote holiness among secular priests through the exercise of their ministry in the service of the Church.
Priestly Society of the Holy Cross
On 14 February 1943, Saint Josemaria found the solution he was seeking for priests to form part of Opus Dei.
Letter from the Prelate (25 November 2021)
The Prelate of Opus Dei invites us to foster our hope when confronting the reality of death, trusting in God's love and having recourse to our Lady.
My dear children, may Jesus watch over my daughters and sons for me!
During these weeks of November we are praying especially for all the deceased. Our remembrance goes particularly to the many faithful of the Work who have left this world, the deceased members of our families, and all the people we have known while they were alive.
Nevertheless, we know …
"He waits for us every day, in the laboratory, in the operating theatre, in the army barracks, in the university chair, in the factory, in the workshop, in the fields, in the home and in all the immense panorama of work.”
