A new Regional Vicar appointed for Canada

The Prelate of Opus Dei, Msgr. Fernando Ocáriz, has appointed Msgr. Antoine de Rochebrune as Regional Vicar.

The Prelate of Opus Dei, Msgr. Fernando Ocáriz, has appointed Msgr. Antoine de Rochebrune as Regional Vicar of the Prelature of Opus Dei for Canada.

At the time of the appointment, Msgr. de Rochebrune had been Regional Vicar for France since 1999.

He was born in 1964 in Floirac (Gironde). He obtained a doctorate in Electrical Engineering (1990) and a doctorate in dogmatic theology (1996).

Msgr. de Rochebrune was ordained to the priesthood on September 15, 1995 in Rome.

He replaces Msgr. Frederick Dolan, who had been the Regional Vicar of the Prelature of Opus Dei for Canada since 1998. Msgr. Dolan has been appointed Secretary Vicar of Opus Dei in Canada.
