The Holy Father received the Prelate of Opus Dei, Msgr. Fernando Ocáriz, in an audience today.

“There is no greater joy than living solely for the Lord and, with Him, serving others,” said the Prelate of Opus Dei, Msgr. Fernando Ocáriz, during the Mass on 12 May 2025 in the Basilica of Saint Eugene (Rome).

During the session of the 10th Ordinary General Congress of Opus Dei, as established by current regulations, in addition to the vicars, the Prelate appointed the other members of the Central Advisory and the General Council, the bodies that assist the Prelate in governing the institution.

In the days leading up to the Easter Triduum in Rome, Msgr. Fernando Ocáriz met with young people from around the world to speak about faith, work, and citizenship.

The Prelate of Opus Dei asks us to continue praying for the Pope's full recovery, and to prepare for Holy Week by considering Christ's infinite love. He also asks for prayers for the upcoming General Congress.

To commemorate the hundredth anniversary of Saint Josemaría Escrivá’s ordination to the priesthood, the city of Zaragoza hosted a series of events from 27 to 30 March. These included academic gatherings, liturgical celebrations, and festive family meetings. Similar events took place in Rome and Logroño, locations that played a significant role in the founder of Opus Dei’s life and childhood.
