News of Holy Week

World Youth Day - The 19th World Youth Day took place in Rome on Palm Sunday, April 4. Pope John Paul II prepared for this meeting on April 3 in St. Peter’s Square by meeting with 20,000 young people from Rome and the surrounding Lazio region. UNIV - More than 2,000 young people attended an audience with John Paul II on Monday, April 5, in the Vatican audience hall as a part of the UNIV 2004 congress. Shortly we will present information about it, and the Pope’s discourse. UNIV (an international abbreviation for university) takes place in Rome every year during Holy Week. It is organized by ICU, the Institute for University Cooperation. This year the participants come from more than twenty countries.
