Tomás and Paquita Alvira were married members of Opus Dei, who strove for sanctity through the heroic and persevering exercise of the Christian virtues, in their marriage, raising their children and passing on to others their joy of a bright and cheerful home. Both suffered painful illnesses towards the end of their lives, and offered up their suffering with a deeply supernatural outlook. Many Christians have had private recourse to their intercession for their different needs. Here is one such favour.

Indulgences in Perpetuity
The Apostolic Penitentiary of the Holy See has communicated that the indulgences, which members of the Work and their relatives can gain on these dates, are granted in perpetuity. Until now, they were renewed every seven years.
8 November: Memorial of Saint Severinus
The relics of Saint Severinus are preserved in Villa Tevere in Rome, where the central offices of Opus Dei are located. In the centers of the Prelature the votive Mass in honor Saint Severinus is celebrated on 8 November.
Youth: A New Project for Young People
On Monday, January 15, the anniversary of the beginning of activities in DYA Academy, several Information Offices of Opus Dei in different parts of the world will come together to present “Youth,” a new project with material for young people.
