New issue of "Romana"

The 75th issue of "Romana," bulletin of the Prelature of Opus Dei, from the second semester of 2022, has been published.

In addition to various documents from the Holy See and the letters and messages that the Prelate of Opus Dei, Msgr. Fernando Ocáriz, wrote to the members of the Prelature in the second semester of 2022, the newsletter includes information about various activities of the Prelate and other events related to Opus Dei.

Romana 75 reports on Msgr. Fernando Ocáriz's pastoral visits to the northwest of Spain (Galicia, Castilla León, and Asturias) in July, Barcelona in August, the Holy Land also in August, and Mexico in October and November.

Also noteworthy is a park dedicated to the founder of Opus Dei in the city of Marina di Massa (Tuscany, Italy) in the section "About St. Josemaría:" the new Parco San Josemaría Escrivá. There are also reports of other expressions of the worldwide devotion to St. Josemaría: new paintings in churches, Founder's Week at the University of Navarre (Pamplona, Spain), and more.

The "News" section includes, among other things, the ordination of 25 new deacons of Opus Dei, the establishment of a Healing and Resolution Office in Argentina, the dedication of an avenue to Dr. Ernesto Cofiño in Guatemala City (a supernumerary of Opus Dei who passed away in 1991), an event in memory of Marcello Marano (an associate of Opus Dei) at his parish in Cinisello Balsamo (Milan, Italy) on the twentieth anniversary of his death, and a conference on the Christian identity of universities inspired by the spirit of Opus Dei, held in Rome in October.

Romana always concludes with a study, and this issue ends with the text of the speech that the Prelate of Opus Dei delivered in September in Rome during the Be To Care event for social entrepreneurs. The speech explores the social dimension of the Christian vocation in the light of the Church's social doctrine and the message of St. Josemaría. Its title is "Expanding the Heart."

Romana is disseminated digitally and published semiannually. You can subscribe to the newsletter for free in any of the three languages in which it is published: English, Spanish, and Italian.
